Morzine Summer Events

WOW! What a crazy summer in France it has been already!

Holidays in Morzine & the French-Alps have been incredible, and the weather couldn’t be better. We have been full of summer events; we’ve had CrankWorx , Pass’Portes du Soleil , Spartan and Bastille and World Cup celebrations and we are barely into July.

The weather has been fantastic so far and is looking to continue so why not come and join us for a fun packed summer holiday in Morzine!
This week we have the first of two family/children weeks called ‘Royaume des Marmots’ called in English “Kids’ Kingdom” with full of workshops, activities and spectacles… and guess what? You don’t have to pay anything because everything is FREE!

The second week is 11th – 17th August. These weeks are aimed specifically at children with lots of fun summer activities such as traditional wooden games, face painting, inflatable games, and free shows on the stage in the town square outside the Tourist Office.

For mountain biking lovers, we have the French Downhill Mountain Bike Championships coming up this summer here in Morzine. This marks the return of top class downhill racing in Morzine and with riders from the worlds such as Loris Vergier and Myriam Nicole should be some event. There is also a new track for the occasion thanks to Santa Cruz, the tourist office and the Pleney Lift Company.

​We also have a couple of road biking races such as the ‘Grimpee Cycliste’ which is from Morzine to Avoriaz and also a day when the famous Joux Plane road is shut to all motorised vehicles so you can enjoy the ‘Tour de France’ climb without having to worry about any cars.
