Check out this fantastic shot of Lake Montriond, which is less than a 10 minute drive from Morzine. We can practically taste the ice-cream and feel the sun on our back. Why not head out there and soak up some rays this summer with a tasty ice-cream just like @bewildandwandertribe did?!

If it’s a cycling or hiking holiday you’re after this summer then look no further. With over 140km of trails, Morzine is the ideal location for adventure. This beautiful photo of professional ultra-runner and coach Edwina Sutton in the Morzine mountains really captures what’s on offer here!

A little throwback to a winter 2019 picture here as we felt it just had to be included! It might still be summer time but we’ll soon be swapping those bikes and hiking boots for skis and snow boots! This stunning photo from @morzinesourcemagazine really portrays the beauty of Morzine during the winter months when we switch from being a haven for walking and cycling to a haven for skiing. If you’re planning on visiting us here in Morzine for a winter holiday then be sure to book your accommodation early.

We just love this shot from @morzineofficiel of Le vieux pont de Morzine or Morzine’s old bridge as it is known in English. This wooden bridge was previously used as the main crossing to cross the river Dranse. Frequent floods often swept away the bridge and so in the 1720s it was replaced with a stone bridge. A flood in 1725 destroyed the half built bridge and it wasn’t until 1729 that the stone structure you see today was completed. The perfect spot for a candid Instagram shot.

If you’re looking for a gentle walk suitable for the family then why not head upstream to Cascade de Nyon, pictured below in an excellent shot taken by @eloise.mtnr. If you’re feeling more adventurous you may decide to take a dip in its cool waters or even abseil off it. Surrounding the waterfall is a high rope adventure park which is great for kids and adults alike with zip lines, rope swings and cables.
